Vocabulary is key to success in using language skills (speaking, listening, writing, reading) in all languages. However, many students do not like memorizing words mostly because they do not know the appropriate techniques to learn the target vocabulary. The use of snapwords is an effective technique to improve students’ motivation in learning English. It triggers students’ visual intelligence, imagination, creativity and interest to ease learning. A World of Snapwords primarily aims to motivate students highly to learn English in line with our national curriculum, especially during online education in Covid-19 pandemic time. Students will prepare the snapwords of the vocabulary that they are to memorize in their class units. In this project, students will not only create snapwords but also prepare and play online games with many web tools to ensure their learning. They will have the chance to improve their English competence in a fun way. The target age group is 9-14 in our project.
