Media literacy is defined as gaining the ability of reaching, analyzing, evaluating and transmitting both written unwritten messages, which can be seen in a great variety of formats like TV, video, cinema, advertisements, internet, etc. It is claimed that the media has positive and negative effects on children's physical, cognitive and social development. Studies show that the place of the media in terms of time and space is increasing, especially in children's lives. On the other hand, it is obvious that media messages have their own unique structure, language and applications and that these are constantly changing and developing. In order for individuals to use these channels more efficiently and to raise awareness of some risks that may be exposed while doing this, they should have knowledge about media messages and methods. In our project, Ss are expected to raise awareness of using social media more consciously by aware of some risks.
