Filoxenia is a Greek word which means hospitality.
Xenophobia is another Greek word which means being afraid of strangers.
Nowadays, it is more urgent than ever before, for all European countries to be "filoxenous" rather than xenophobic towards the millions of refugees and immigrants that are coming to our continent with the dream of a better life.
At the same time however, it is essential that we keep our customs and traditions alive, we keep our identity intact.
What are the terms of hospitality in Greece and in other countries in Europe? What are the traditions and customs? Do we need to enhance them?
