"Strong and independent women in our history"

Let's meet the women who had influenced changes in the field of science and culture. Women of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century did not deal with science. European universities were just beginning to accept women to the student body, yet this also would bring about objections. More than 114 years ago, on November 5, 1906 in Paris at the Sorbonne, Maria Skłodowska Curie gave her first lecture on physics. The Polish Nobel Prize winner was the first female professor at this university. She was a strong woman who demonstrated that there is also room for women in the world of science. In the project "Strong and independent women in history" we will have a chance to encounter exceptional women from our countries. Let's get to know these exceptional women and get to know each other, let's open up to the diversity of our cultures.
