Our project is aimed for students to notice that the algorithms exist in their own environment, and to distinguish these algorithms in cultural and traditional objects which are based on many years ago. Considering that there are such traditional and authentic elements in each country and region in the world, it is thought that our project will connect different cultures with coding. Our project will be an interdisciplinary study, including information technologies, mathematics, foreign languages, science, visual arts, social sciences, traditional music and instruments, folk arts. Our project also includes Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) due to the nature of coding. The scope of our work is to discover authentic elements and recreate them by coding. In this way, it is also aimed to enrich students' physical, intellectual and cultural worlds, and to increase their self-efficacy such as critical thinking and problem solving.
