There are many proverbs about the impact of movement on human health, one of them says: "Movement is life." For the normal development of the child, physical activity should be 50% of the waking time. Most modern children experience a motor deficit, i.e. the number of movements they make during the day is below the age norm. It's no secret that children spend most of their time in a static position (at the table, in front of the TV, at the computer, etc.). This is detrimental to physical, mental and spiritual development. The statistics on physical activity and obesity among Estonian youth are below the HBSC average, and we are in the bottom third of the ranking when compared to other countries.
