The main priority of Active Learning Academy project is developing a teaching methodology that motivates students and puts them back at the centre of the learning process, granting them the prominence that ensures a true development of key competences. This will be done by setting up the conditions that will maximise social interaction and thus learning process, according to Vygotsky’s theory, and providing the appropriate stimuli that will strengthen students’ motivation to carry out problem-solving tasks. The expected results are: creating a more participative class environment; increasing the knowledge and usage of digital technologies such as robotics, 3D printing, virtual reality, app design and web 2.0; achieving a higher degree of key competences among students; improving school results and avoiding early school drop-out.
