  • Task 1

    Our students will introduce themselves and their schools and they will talk about their favourite food or dish.


    Title: INTRODUCING OURSELVES and OUR SCHOOLS
    Timing: from late November to mid December
    Deadline: 18th December 2015 (just before the Christmas break)
                       postponed to mid-January


    Objectives:

    • Get to know each other
    • Introduce ourselves, our school and our home town to the partners in our teams
    • Talk about our favourite food

    RECOMMENDED ONLINE APPS

    • Google Drive (https://www.google.com/drive/)
      Students can create a word document or a slide presentation where all of them collaborate with a brief text and/or a picture.
    • Padlet (https://padlet.com/)
      Students can use this click-and-type app to include all their contributions onto a digital board.
    • Prezi (http://www.prezi.com/)
      Students could use Prezi to create collaboratively a dynamic presentation with all students’ introductions.
    • Tackk (https://tackk.com/)
      This is a click-and-type application which enables users to create and share an online “poster” by adding headlines, body text and media from a variety of different sources. It’s similar to a blog but with an only possible post.

    Working methodology for teachers: 

    1. Talk to your fellow teachers in the group about what to do.
    2. Organize your students in groups and set them to work out a presentation. Select one of all the possible apps online either from the recommended list or elsewhere.
    3. Once your students have their contributions ready, publish them in our blog so students from the other countries can comment on or ask questions about them

    Task 2

    Our students will share culinary habits, typical recipes and celebrations around food.

     

    Title: CELEBRATIONS AROUND FOOD
    Timing: from late January  to early March
    Deadline: 7th March 2016
                       postponed to 30th March 2016

    Objectives:

    • Raise awareness for similarities and differences among countries when it comes to the role of food in celebrations.
    • Talk about typical food and/or local recipes.

    Our students will describe gastronomic festivals for tourism in their countries and will publish a guide with the most popular events.

     

    Title: FOOD TOURISM
    Timing: from early April to late May | early June
    Deadline: 30th March 2016
                       postponed to 15th June 2016
     

    Objectives:

    • Raise awareness for for tourist gastronomic festivals in our countries.
    • Create a booklet with our favourite gastronomic festivals.

    • Pinterest (https://www.pinterest.com/)
      Students could use Pinterest to create collaboratively a board with all their contributions on the topic

    Working methodology for teachers: 

    1. Coordinate yourself with your fellow teacher in the group on what to do and how to do it.
    2. Organize your students in groups and set them to work on a famous food festival in your country (either local or national) Select one of all the possible apps online.
    3. Once your students have their contributions ready, publish them in our blog so students from the other countries can comment on or ask questions
