This project is aimed at foreign language learners from all over Europe who are learning a European language. Our pilot project integrates 2 schools: one from Germany (Ev. Stift.Gymnasium Gütersloh) and another one from Spain (IES SINEU) to reflect on what is known as European identity. Learning a foreign language not only opens the way to communication, but also the way to a culture. We want to use the multilingualism in Europe as an opportunity to learn about other countries and cultures and to reflect on the cultural wealth of our region. The idea is that the pupils discover Europe through the eyes of a native speaker.
The intermediate and end products are integrated with the content of the subjects German and Spanish as a second foreign anguage and the aim is to put the acquired competencies (knowledge, skills and attitudes) into practice at the end of each term .
