The secondary school Antun Matijašević Karamaneo is a small island school, on the island of Vis, Croatia. It has just 63 students (because a majority of elementary school students leave to attend secondary and high school in Split, the town on the coast and because families are leaving the island fro a better life on the coast or in the inland) and 26 teachers. There two main programmes: general comprehensive high school and tourism (cooks, receptionists and tourism commercialists).

The classrooms are well equipped wit hinteractive boards and tablets with internet and wi-fi.

The school participated in one Comenius and three Erasmus+ projects - S.T.E.P.S. (Seas, Tourism, Environment, Sustainability and Protection), Agriculture 2.0 and A Blended Classroom of the Digital age  which  is still running. The school coordinator, an English teacher has been in charge for all the above projects. There are other teachers, such as the other English teacher, Economics teacher and  STEM teachers (biology and chemistry) who also participated or are still participating in the above mentioned projects. We have participated in numerous etwinning projects and were awarded National quality label for the S.T.E.P.S. (Seas, Tourism, Environment, Sustainability and Protection) project.
