Welcome to Smart Maths!

 

This Erasmus / ETwinning Project is going to make Maths even more Fun.

Our partners are going to create and collate Maths games and puzzles.

 

Gather around I will tell you a story. It concerns Jack  πper, an ordinary boy, living an ordinary life  in an ordinary street. Ordinary that is, until his world was turned upside down, realising that the spirit of Mathematics was under threat from shadowy disciples of chaos, Jack's grandpa had entrusted him with the task of returning a special box containing the Spirit of Mathematics to its rightful place in the Palace of Numbers.

Our project follows Jack in his quest to return the box and save the world from chaos. He travels through mystical portals,  first to a world of fire, where he has to journey through a  pyrotechnic landscape solving numerical problems to find the first key that opens the door to the Palace of Numbers.

If he passes through the world of fire, he will be taken to one of the other worlds, will it be to an Earth World where he faces challenges of geometry? Or will he be transported to an air world or the water world, or worse still will he fail? Will the mathematical bonds which keep the atoms together be broken? Will the universe dissove? Only you can help.

 

The Etwinning project includes partners  from Spain, UK, Estonia, Italy and Serbia.

Together we will look for the spirit of Maths in the world around us.

We will follow maths trails in our cities, using our mathematical knowledge to navigate our worlds.

We will use games to make learning Maths fun. Now pull up a chair, sit back and enjoy Mathematics
