Evaluation analysis

  • The main aims of this project have been achieved. We have developoded all XXI Century Skills that we had tried to implement in our classes with this project: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Social/emotional:

    -To foster empathy towards others
    - Awareness and appreciation of the value and beauty of own culture and those of different cultures around the world
    - Nurture tolerance through reading and inclusion
    - Celebrate environmental awareness to help understand the fragility of our environment and the importance of its protection

Students have learned about all these objectives and they want to continue working collaborativelly with other schools, as reflected in their evaluations. Our students value the importance of working with boys and girls from other countries, the importance of being part of the same educational community and of having the opportunity to put into play values and strategies that can help them in their future. The most voted activity is the day of the radio. They have loved to share their broadcastings with their mates of this project. In general, they like this type of projects and they want to join more etwinning projects in the future. Most also point out that they prefer to work collaboratively with other schools and not just with their classmates to carry out these types of activities, so we need to work in this line. Their overall assessment has been very positive and they are grateful for having the opportunity to participate in these types of projects.

Families, despite the exceptional circumstances of this course, have felt part of the project and highlight the radio broadcasting activitiy because they had the opportunity to follow it live on eTwinning day. They consider important this kind of project and work in our classroom and want to be involved in future projects, so we need to design activities that involve them again. It has been an extrange course, but this type of project has given them the oportunity to continue being part of the school

We, as teachers, highlight the importance of collaboration in this project. Despite the difficulties we have had to face with the circumstances of this year, such as confinements, not being able to use the school facilities like other years, the new organization of the classrooms or the security protocols that we have had to put into play because of the Covid, we have managed to keep the students hooked on the project and motivated with the proposed activities. It has been difficult for us to continue on many occasions, but we have managed to restructure our work and carry out a great project. A high percentage includes it within their lesson programs and has helped to overcome a special course.

In general, it is a highly valued project, which has not only allowed us to approach our students to work in a collaborative way, but has allowed us to develop the contents of our programming in a fun and motivating way for our students. Families have felt an important part of it and have seen that their children enjoyed their development. The teachers have enjoyed this project and we have actively collaborated through the different media we have created for it, be it the mail, the whatsapp group... Highlight the importance of finding excellent partners, such as those with whom we have the good fortune to participate in this project.
