March 1 - Martenitsa Day
March 1 is one of the most popular spring holidays. It marks the beginning of the new economic year, is associated with spring and the revival of nature for new life.
According to an old Bulgarian tradition, on this day young and old are decorated with martenitsas, with wishes for health, success and hope for a new, better life.
Students in grades 1-4 organized workshops for martenitsas. They made many beautiful martenitsas to decorate the rooms and lobbies of the school.
