Tukuma novada speciālās izglītības iestāde
Special Education Institution of Tukums Municipality is a school for special needs students with a total number of 204 students and 61 teacher and support team member. The school covers the following programmes:
-special primary education programme for the students with mental disorders;
-special primary education programme for the students with severe mental disorders or several severe developmental disorders;
-vocational training programmes for carpenter assistants, cook assistants and housekeepers.
The school is motivated to increase students` involvement into study process and motivation. Teachers need to gain new skills and competences, learn new techniques and methods and increase the efficiency of the educational process teaching special needs students as the new model of learning and teaching will be introduced in Latvia in 2022.
