Objectives of the project

  • About The Project

     

    With this project, teams from participating schools will be created within the “100 Hours for 100 Schools” project of the Las Cumbres Observatory and images of deep space objects will be shot. The exposure times of the captured images will be compared and the instruments and times used to obtain the most ideal image will be shared with each other. Student partnerships will be focused on by deciding how to properly colourize red, blue and green filters.

    Project Goals

    With this project it is aimed;

    • Students gain competence in the field of astrophotography and get to know some Messier objects,
    • To decide on the deep space object to be observed and the exposure time together and to gain the ability to work in cooperation with science,
    • To gain speaking skills in front of the group in online meetings,
      Online magazines, content, etc. learn to produce, share and create a common product.
