    With regards to:

    1. Student Introductions to each other:

    • teachers agreed on a "chat day" , which will be held on 07/04/2016 at 12:20 am CET, with guided questions created by students to get to know the other partner's traditions, hobbies, free time activities. The chat will be recorded and/or photographed for documentation purposes and will be available for download on the eTwinning website.

    2. Phase 2:

      a) Choosing the game/sport/dance for Olympics Day:

    • P.E. teachers are expected to guide the students in choosing 2 or 3 activities representative of their school's town/region. A group of students chosen for each activity is expected to give a detailed description of it (an oral description with subtitles, preferably), which will be guided by the language teachers of the project, then they will be filmed while carrying out activities.

      b) Sharing the video demonstrations:

    • teachers agreed that because of large file sizes, it would be better to load the video demonstrations on to the YouTube website (making sure to make it a private video, only accessible through embedding on the Twinspace or through the URL) and either embedding it (which is more immediately accessed) or posting a link to it, so that partners would have time to prepare and practice the activity with the students (this will be coordinated by the PE teacher). Through various heats with best times (it is expected that the activity mustn't exceed a limit of maximum 1-2 minutes, preferably 1 minute), the best students will be chosen to represent the activities for Olympics Day.

      c) Olympics Day Activities:

    • after a discussion on how to organise the activities for a more standardized execution of these, the teachers decided on the method "Minute to Win It", which can be found searched through Google Search (underneath is an example game), but ideas MUST be original and represent their town/region. The fastest execution of the activity would be the absolute winner of the Olympic activity, but in any case, the activity couldn't run over a minute (or 2...it depends on what we decide! :)). The dance could be judged the most elegant and correct within the time limit of 1 minute. The sport could be a distance/height or other measurement within a minute. All the finals must be filmed and added to YouTube then embedded or a URL included on the Twinspace, for inspection and subsequently for editing purposes (particularly for the final product).

      d) Prizes awarded to the students:

    • could come directly from students and/or teachers households, preferably small/funny/unusual gadgets.
    • could be created by students through ICT: for example, certificates/virtual congratulations/cards etc. Students should be encouraged to come forth with their creative ideas (after all, it's a project for student creativity!)

      e) Final Product:

    • partners are invited to search at their school (not only among students which are in their courses) for particularly outstanding students in film editing, who are expected to make a final video of the most important/interesting moments and bloopers of each partner into a wonderful end product with music, special effects etc. This video will be made available on the Twinspace for downloading by students/publishing on school websites for promotional purposes or any other method to make visible the brilliance of the students' work!

    Happy Project Planning!!!
