I would like to show you this article describing why you should visit the Aveyron. Since I only just discovered this beautiful department this year when I came to start my volunteer program, I might have a different view on some things. But I think all the points mentioned in the article are very valid! Especially point 6, "Foodie Heaven"... Aveyron has got so many unique and delicious foods, like gâteau à la broche, fouace, Aligot and many more!

Also, you might like to know some more about Aveyron's most famous painter, Pierre Soulages. In Rodez, there's a museum dedicated only to his works, and it's probably the city's main attraction, next to the cathedral.
