Making Our World EverGreen

Teaching students about sustainability and the environment gives them the tools they need to solve the global challenges we face now and in the future. Education that supports this type of literacy includes both curriculum and instructional practices that are interdisciplinary, place-based and rooted in the context that uniquely surrounds each student. This education impacts student understanding and action. How do we want to do it? Key actions are: - Reduce the waste of our School tanks to the introduction of specific bins for the recycling since we haven’t done it yet; - Calculate the carbon footprint of our school; - Reduce the electricity consumption; - Analyse the water of our school in order to find out if our students live in a healthy environement; - Discourage our students from buying plastic bottles from the vending machines offering them alternative ways.
