Websites Chosen by don Gnocchi Students
After careful consideration and various trials by students, 2 websites were put forward as final choices:
- http://www.cambridgeenglishonline.com/Flashcard_maker/ : it seemed a good choice at the beginning, but unfortunately cards can't be saved on the PC and so they can only be printed.
- http://www.canva.com: the choice settled on this site because:
- a wide variety of layouts
- an enormous library of images, easy to choose and free for a large number of them
- share button, which means it can be shared on the web by students for the Twinspace
- it can be downloaded on the PC, for printing.
Categories of Recital Cards
After having discussed with teacher partners, it was decided to create these 5 types of cards:
- Hero
- Enemy,
- Prop or magical tool
- Helping character
- The quest
Organisation of the Class
The class was divided into 5 groups of approx. 4 students for each category , with the task of making 2 cards each:
- and ONE corresponding label which will be put on the head of the student actor to advise the audience of the character he/she is playing;
- for the prop category, students/teachers will bring a toy prop or make a carton representation of the object;
- for the quest, a printed image can be used for the scenery of each card made.
Communication among the Community
It was decided that to avoid repetition of recital subjects among students/classes communication between them would entail:
- WhatsApp groups and eventually,
- Facebook groups with private permission.
