After working about why every child is special, we focus on differences. Every person is not only special but also different. Differences make a person unique, special and necessary y estas las hacemos únicas, especiales y necesarias. We are different because physical appearance (skin color, hair, eyes, clothes, glasses, tall, short, fat, slim...) because our abilities or disabilities, because our attributes, etc. Thanks our differences we are necessary for making a team, we share, help and like each others.
The main objectives of this activity are to increase the children self esteem, to point out the positive aspects of everybody, to improve the empathy and to promote the feeling to belong to a group.

We have used "Elmer " the elephant story for motivating children and to introduce the topic.

 

 

Elmer is an colorful elephant, it's different from others elephants but it has lot of things to show and teach.
