Project outcome, Gladsaxe gymnasium & Söderslättsgymnasiet

Project outcome of collaboration between Gladsaxe gymnasium, Denmark, and Söderslättsgymnasiet, Sweden

The fact that both of our countries were totally or partially shut down as a result of Covid-19 became important in the lives of our students during the collaboration.

All students introduced themselves to each other in the intial phase of the project. Some filmed their greetings, others made digital presentations with text and photos.

The common ground of dealing with an isolated life quickly became something the students could relate to each other around - and so an icebreaker for the introductions was in place. We found it important to establish an understanding of who the partners are  before beginning the actual work.

    The project evolved as follows:

    • - Students made introductions of themselves and shared them with each other
    • - Students wrote articles based on the Sustainable Development Goals and shared them
    • - Students read each other's articles and provided their partners with feedback based on predetermined feedback points
    • - Students reflected on the linguistic outcome of working together in their native languages and how well we understand each other in the Scandinavian countries

We used a Padlet to organize and collect results of the work - with exception of the articles which the students wrote and shared with each other and the feedback offered in return.
