    Our school students, members of Folk Ensemble "Bucur", have participated on Children's Day in Turkey (Bursa), event organized by Doğa-Koleji on April 23, 2016. The visit in this school was an interesting exchange program, speaking about the culture and education. For 4 days, the Romanian students were accompanied by Turkish students in all activities included in the program: activities in school (school visits, English lessons, German, arts, mathematics etc.) and out of school (visit the historic center of the Bursa city). The ceremony dedicated to the child and Turkish sovereignty occasioned our delegation presenting a folk show (Romanian traditional dances) and folk costumeIt was a unique experience that our students will not forget. It is lasting friendships in the short time in which Romanian students lived in families of Turkish students. I invite you to follow aspects of this visit in Bursa.

     

     

    Interview with Jean Paul Sánchez, EK-press Logo winner.

    Jean Paul is a student at “Virgen del Espino”, in Soria Spain. He study first course of Basic Informatics. He is sixteen years old. This is his first year at this school. And now we have the opportunity to know some things about him and his great job with the EK-press logo.

     

    B- Hello Jean Paul.

    JP- Hello .Beyelin

    B- Do you know anything about etwinning projects before this year?

    JP- No I did not. Neither I hear that name “etwinning” before.

    B- What do you think about the experience of participating in a etwinning project ?

    JP- I enjoy to much with it. It was entertainment and learned new things.

    B- What did you feel when you found out that you had won the Logo competition of the  etwinning project ek-press?

    JP- I felt so grateful. I understood that I made a good job and it was confirmed with the award. To know that my job was selected was a good time.

    B- How did you get the idea?

    JP- I wanted to show more than words. Something related to communication and expression. I wanted to show what is behind the newspapers, That is the reason of the "code numbers" on the background of the logo. There are to much information behind the newspapers and we received only a summary of it.

    B- How much effort did you take to do the logo?

    JP- In my opinion too much time, I spent 4 hours to do it.

    B- What tool did you use to make the logo?

    JP- GIMP. It is a free software to work with potos similar to Photoshop. You can download it from http://www.gimp.org/

    B- What did you think about the rest of logos?

    JP- In my opinion I saw some logos better than mine. There was a high level in this work.

    B- Do you want to tell something to your etwinning fellows?

    JP- I like the work they are uploading to our twinspace. I am learning too much things about their countries and costumes.

    A visit to the children's oncology ward in Chorzów -"English entertains and teaches" Poland - Gimnazjum nr 6 in Ruda Śląska -Silesia


    The workshop "English for playing and learning" students of School No. 6 im W. Korfantego in Rudzie Śl. composed of Paulina Kasperczyk, Maciek Dziopa, Alexander Kęska with the carer Mrs Aneta Gierczak visited the pediatric oncology department in Chorzow. They made  Christmas lesson  in English, learned Christmas carols and together drew a Christmas tree and Santa. To the hospital they came with gifts: office supplies, games and smile and hope that you always need to have. Hearts sewn by the students of the first class, which children received made them great joy.

                                                       

     

                                                                

     

    A visit to the children's oncology ward in Zabrze "English entertains and teaches" -Poland- Gimnazjum nr 6 in Ruda Śl. - Silesia

    On the occasion of the upcoming Christmas we visited the children's oncology department in Zabrze. Children got us to different games, stationery and heart-shaped pillows sewn by our students from class 1c: Agnieszka, Zaneta, Angelica and Marysia. Together with the children sang songs, learned English through play, drew. Time spent on cancer ward showed us that we should not give up, you have to enjoy every day because you never know what tomorrow will bring.

    Christmas Competition - Poland- Gimnazjum nr 6 Ruda Śl. -Silesia

    English is the "language of the world" for decades. It is almost impossible to find a country where learning English does not become the norm. Some would like to cultivate only their native language. However, the benefits of science and a good mastery of the English language are significant and difficult to ignore, because one of the elements of education of modern man.
    Our language group organized a Christmas contest for elementary school students from our area. The students were solving tasks related to the tradition of the world in the UK, they created Christmas cards. Most liked the contest,

    ROMANIA - National Day 

    On 1 DecemberRomania's National Day, there will be held military parades, shows and special events throughout the country. This year on December 1, Romania will celebrate 97 years since the Great Union which happened on December 1, 1918. 

    In Bucharest, the events planned for the National Day include wreath military ceremonies at the Heroes' Monument, erected in the memory of the Romanian soldiers killed in the line of duty, located in front of the National Palace of Children in the Tineretului Park, and at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Carol Park.

    From 11 o'clock there will be a military parade in Piaţa Arcului de Triumf of Bucharest.

     

    The parade will be attended by over 1 500 troops and the military equipment belongs to the Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of Administration and Interior, Romanian Information Service and the Protection and Guard Service and to 400 policemen, gendarmes, border guards, firefighters and pi

    lots of the Ministry of Interior.

    Poland - (Ruda Śląska -Silesia)  Wieliczka - Salt Mine Tour - November

    In November we were on a trip in a Salt Mine -Wieliczka.

    The “Wieliczka” Salt Mine is one of the most valuable monuments of material and spiritual culture in Poland. Each year it is visited by more than one million tourists from all over the world.

    It is also a world class monument, featuring among twelve objects on the UNESCO’s World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.

    Today, the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine combines many centuries of tradition and modernity, the history of several hundred years and an underground metropolis with extensive infrastructure.

    The mine is a product of work of tens of generations of miners, a monument to the history of Poland and to the Polish nation – a brand, present in Polish consciousness for centuries.

           

          

       

     

    Romania - October 5, The Teachers' Day (The Education Day)

      This day is considered as World Day of Education, so a perfect combination between a teacher and his work to teach someone how to teach.

    It's autumn again, and your face gives gentle heat and still calls us to the abode of wisdom. You're the one that we do the waltz initiation of daily life, work with us to achieve our dreams and enjoying every step of our successfully done.
    The work of teachers should be assessed every day, not just once a year, because behind every man, be he rich or poor, famous or modest is a teacher who has contributed largely to the foundation of his personality. He's the one who grew ploughmen, bricklayers, physicians, economists, lawyers etc.

          

    Gimnazjum nr 6 - Ruda Śl. Poland- Silesia - Day of Languages

    In October at Gimnazjum no. 6  in Ruda Śl.- Poland celebrated the Day of Languages. On this occasion, each class had drawn earlier to present the country eg. France, Great Britain and the USA. Students prepared a stand of delicacies such Pizza, Apple Pie, they brought souvenirs from holidays, eg. The Eiffel Tower. Most dressed up as famous people thus became very colorful and cheerful throughout the school. On this day,  students took part in contests of knowledge about the culture of other countries, foreign language songs and conducted radio show. Everyone had fun. Every year we organize such an event to show that you can learn foreign languages through play and we want to show teenagers how important  is language in the world today.

          

     

    National Education Day in Poland – Silesia -14.10.2015 Gimnazjum nr 6 in Ruda Śl.

    National Education Day, commonly known as the Day of the Teacher is a Polish national holiday of education and higher education. It was established 27 April 1972.
    This feast commemorates the creation of the National Education Commission, which was the first ministry of public education in Poland. This commission was established on the initiative of the Polish king Stanislaw August Poniatowski under the Partition Sejm's resolution of 14 October 1773.
    In accordance with the provisions of the Act that day is a day off from lessons for all education workers:
    "On the anniversary of the establishment of the National Education Commission, October 14 each year, will be celebrated National Education Day. This day is considered to be a celebration for all education workers and is free of lessons. "
    Of course, for this reason it is a popular holiday not only by teachers, but also, no less, by the students.
    Traditionally, as a thank teachers for their efforts in the education and upbringing of the students composed their thanks and wishes, and often give each other symbolic gifts (eg. flowers or candy). On this occasion, we are also prepared special performances of students. Our students this year presented the "Tale of the Fisherman". More photos in Images Folder.

              

      

    Papal Day in Gimnazjum nr 6 in Ruda Śl   -   World Youth Day - 2016 Poland

    John Paul II - the Pope Poles, for most of us became ideal in all respects and will always remain in our memories. To honor his memory, the Roman Catholic Church established the Papal Day, the day of gratitude and spiritual unity with the Holy Father. The day was attributable on the16th of October - has also become a public holiday. On this occasion at our school celebrated the thirty-first anniversary of John Paul II to the papacy.

    World Youth Day is an international meeting of young people around the world who together with their catechists, priests, bishops and the Pope gather in one place, to profess faith in Jesus Christ. In July 2016 will be held in Poland in Krakow.
