    Lithuania, country of northeastern Europe, the southernmost and largest of the three Baltic states.

    Interesting facts  about Lithuania:

    • By the end of the fourteenth century, Lithuania was the largest country in Europe.
    • Lithuanian is one of the oldest language in the world today. This language is one of the oldest living Indo-European language of Europe.

      MarijampolÄ— city is situated in the  southwest   Lithuania. The distance from the city from Vilnius and Kaunas is 138 km and 62 km respectively. MarijampolÄ— city houses educational institutions, number of football clubs, monuments for famous Lithuanian people, churches, a historical museum and an art gallery.
