About the project

  • Short description

This project intends to dynamize creatively the art subjects in the primary curriculum. Main activities are: singing, dancing, drawing, painting, recording videos and podcasts, setting videoconferences, virtual and non virtual exhibitions, creating and sharing our products.

    Key-words: art, primary, creativity

    Subject areas: Art, music

    Aims

    (i) To promote interaction between european children through different kind of art: songs, dances, drawings and paintings leading to intercultural knowledge.

(ii) To develop children’s skills in collaboration, English language, national music and folk dance and creativity.

    Work process

To communicate, parterns will use mainly email, Faceebok and TwinSpace.

About the partners’ role everything will be clear after the team is closed but it’s on our mind the share responsabilities and to be in contact frequently (each week or two weeks) so everyone could feel integrated.

We will work for one school year and the idea is to have a main activity for each term. If the work will take longer than we thought because of non expected situation, we wil extend the project one year more.

These are the main activities, one for each term; the order can be changed after our first online meeting:

    1. Singing songs in English: each partner will suggest an easy song from YouTube, so the others can learn, record it in video or podcast and during a videoconference, we can performe for the others or sing together.

    2. Dancing: each partner organize a national folk dance, record it in video and another partner copy the dance and record it too; another idea is to use a national music from another country and create an original dance for the music.

    3. Drawing and painting: each partner (pupils individualy or in pairs) draw with a pencil and send the drawings by email to another partner, this partner paint the received drawings and we organize a virtual exhibition; another idea is to take pictures from our village or town, send by email to another partner and this partner recreate the received images drawing and painting.

Videoconferences can happen more than once. This will be discussed during our online meetings. Videoconferences, dances and drawings/ paintings could be organized in pairs between partners.

Pupils will be involved in all the activities planned and will interact both in their classes and with foreign partners.

To disseminate the project we will use TwinSpace, Twitter, Facebook, school's newspaper, school's website, exhibitions, local radio, meetings with other teachers and parents.

To evaluate the project, we will use casual feedback from pupils, teachers and parents during the project development, questionnaires for pupils, teachers and parents at the end of the project, public comments on Internet publications.
