    The Project 

     

    Information

    Solidarity and volunteering at school is constituted as a privileged space to build a fairer society more balanced for the exercise of citizenship and an opportunity to broaden the cultural horizons of our students.
    Working in the field of citizenship, volunteering at school and social entrepreneurship deepen the commitment of all the community, strengthening public policies, contributes to broaden perspectives of life in communities, spreading a culture of peace.

     

    Subjects involved

    History, Science, Biology, Geography, English, Physical Education, ITC, Citizenship, Cross-Curriculum, sociology, social entrepreneurship , etc.

     

    Language

    English.

     

    Ages Group

    13-17 year-olds

     

    Duration of the project - No deadline at the moment

     

    Tools

    All ITC tools available in school. The communication will be held by e-mail, twinspace, webcam (skype or Messenger) and Facebook.

     

    Project Aims

    • To promote vollunteering among students
    • To sensitize to participation in social causes and social entrepreneurship
    • To develop solidarity, in particular with the needy
    • To develop creativity and critical spirit
    • To develop ITC skills and foreign languages
    • To use the English language to communicate
    • Promote the relationship of schools of old e-Twinning and the new e-twinning plus

     

    Resources  

    • The school, the coordinator and the students will be responsible for all the necessary resources.

     

    Method  

    It is a very open project on social solidarity. The Partner schools:

    • Do the project together and agree on strategies and activities in the area of volunteering at School
    • Collaboration with local institutions of volunteering
    • They perform volunteer work in School
    • Promote activities and voluntary work
    • Help the needy

    Activities *:

    Each school selects a series of activities:  (no activity is mandatory)

    • Food Bank Against Hunger
    • Blood Donation
    • Volunteering at the City Hospital or other
    • Study Visits to homes for abandoned children
    • Study Visit the old people`s homes
    • Study visits to schools for children with special needs
    • Foodbaskets fof Christmas (during the Christmas)
    • Collaborate with the humanitarian institutions (eg Red Cross)
    • Social Causes or citizenship Support
    • Others

    * note: none activity of this list is mandatory. From this list, you must select 1 or 2 max per period. Of course you can do others, if you want…(related to the topic).

     

    Sharing - The activities will be previously agreed by the partners

     

    Publishing - All the work done by those involved will be published in Twinspace and on the Blog of the project.

     

    Evaluation - The Project will be evaluated by the partners at the end.

    Communication between partners

    Communication between partners will be made (preferably) through project Facebook. I will be created a “closed” group for communication.

     

    Project Products

    The products of the project - (Movie Trailers, photos, posters, slideshows, Powerpoints, etc… will be posted on the blog and Twinspace of project.

     

    First Tasks

    1- Make Poster Project and send a group photo
    2- Think about possible activities to do with your students
    3- PPT = powerpoint / video / slideshow, etc … characterization School / City/ country (choose what you wish)
    4- PPT = powerpoint with identification of students / class / club
