Description:
 

1. Four partner schools use the music of Vivaldi’s “Four seasons” to create drawings and dances in the atmosphere of the seasons Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer.
2. The schools create paintings on a canvas (size about 100x100 cm), which is divided in four parts, every part for one season.
3. After every season each school sends the canvas to the next school (in alphabetic order) and at the end of the project every school becomes back its own carvas, painted with four drawings in the atmosphere of the different seasons.
4. Besides this every pupils group makes drawings (one for each pupil) every season, related to the character of the season. This drawings will be digitalized and incorporated in a Windows Moviemaker movie. The music of course is by Vivaldi.
5. Every school creates a dance every season, related to the actual season. The dance will be shot as a film and uploaded in the twinspace.

 

Targets:

1. Pupils learn how to use drawing aspects as colour, form, rhythm etc. to create a certain atmosphere in their drawings.
2. Pupils learn that music creates atmosphere and learn how to express this atmosphere in a drawing.
3. Pupils learn, how to express atmosphere and feelings in a dance, connected to certain music.

 

Process:

1. During every season schools use lessons for drawing, music and dance to create the work as written above and under “results”.
2. It is not necessary to use other lessons, the work should be part of the regular curriculum.
3. Deadline for the results in every season could be the first day of the last month of the seaon, so December 1st, March 1st, May 1st and, while summerholiday, July 1st or before if term ends before July.
4. These deadlines can be discussed among the participating schools.

Results:

1. All the WMM movies (drawings and the dances) will be presented in the twinspace.
2. In the twinspace there can also be presented pictures from the drawing proces.
3. All schools have a canvas, painted with four drawingsrelated to Autumn, Winter, Spring, Summer, painted by four different schools.
4. By participating in this project the schools reach keytargets for subjects like drawing, music, dance, ICT
5. In stead of one canvas divided in four parts schools can also use four pieces of canvas, size about 50x50 cm.
