1st mobility in Spain

  •  First meeting was in Spain, Alcover and 4 students and 1 teacher from each partner country took part in the meeting. The students' age was between 12-16. Host country Spain involved 20 students and 9 teachers in the meeting.

    Sunday- 10 November was the day of arrival. All groups arrived in Barcelona and the Spanish school organized transfer to Alcover by private buses.

    Monday 11 November- there was a Welcome ceremony at the host school in The Festivities Hall, Headmaster and official welcomed guests During the next meeting in conference room the international groups were made. First teachers meeting was held to discuss activities and skills which out trainees would improve through activities. Spanish host showed us around the school to present their school activities. Each country had prepared a short presentation of their schools and System of education. Welcome ceremony at the city hall by the mayor. Educational trip to museum in Alcover and workshop-making a fossil. Sport activities about searching the treasures in Alcover was held in the outskirts of the town. Some clues were given to each group to find the hidden objects.

    Tuesday 12 November -Sightseeing Tarragona- UNESCO World Heritage Site. Treasure students and teachers' hunting in historical part of the town was held. Students were divided into international groups and searched different objects using Hangouts apps. Searching was connected with buildings from the Roman Empire the fortification, the amphitheatre, the circus). On our way we visited the Roman Aqueduct “Pont del Diable”.

    Wednesday 13 November - Visiting Cambrils (a fishing village) with a lot of activities about breaking stereotypes-typical dances, songs and games,shopping on a traditional open market, travelling on the little train, walking along the beach.

    On Thursday 14 November Students watched lessons with their partners. Teachers met at to discuss next meetings (evaluation, signatures of papers) In the afternoon all participants went trekking discovering Alcover’s treasures in the nature (The Eagle’s nest, Remei’s church, and and an old mansion in the mountains). Some kind of specific research was made in the Old church. Students had to fill in a questionnaire after exploring the area. In the evening "Taste your country " festive Traditional Dinner prepared by the host families. Tasting different tapas and presenting typical traditions in Catalonia.

    Friday 15 November- educational visit to Barcelona.Visiting some emblematic places in Barcelona Saturday 16 November- departure from Barcelona. All activities were filmed.
