  • A 7 days trip in North-East Romania

     

    Day 1:

    • Arrival to Iași airport
    • Transfer by bus shuttle bus - to a 3-4 stars hotel located in Iași
    • Lunch at 14.30 at the hotel
    • City tour- Union tour- „Romania was born in Iași”
    • Dinner at 20.00 - at the restaurant Casa Bolta Rece

     

     Day 2:

    • We heading, by bus, to Suceava, after the breakfast
    • visiting the Neamt Fortress – a medieval fortress
    • Visit to the memorial house of Ion Creangă, in Humulești One of the most well-known storytellers of Romania
    • Lunch at Humulești
    • We visit the The Princely Fortress of Suceava, built at the end of the 14th century near the Suceava medieval city, that had been the main residence of Moldavia’s rulers for almost 200 years.

    • Then, we’ll visit the Bukovina Village Museum
    • Dinner and housing at the hotel in Suceava

     

    Day 3- Painted churches/ monasteries of the Suceava County

     

    • Breakfast at Casa Bucovineană
    • Heading for the monasteries: Voroneț, Humor – two of the painted monasteries from Bukovina that were placed on UNESCO's World Heritage list in 1993.

    • Visit to the Painted Eggs museum (art museum)
    • Lunch at Gura Humorului
    • Adventure Park Gura Humorului- Swimming pool and leisure schedule
    • Dinner and check in traditional themed B&B Traditional artistic program - music and dances

     

    Day 4

    • Breakfast
    • We’ll visit the Moldovița and Sucevița monasteries two more painted monasteries from the seven included in the UNESCO's World Heritage list
    • Visit to the ceramics workshops from Marginea (and practical workshop). The black ceramics made in Marginea is unique in Europe. The black pottery produced here is known internationally, mainly due to its black color obtained following an ancient burning technique.
    • Lunch in a restaurant in Marginea
    • Visiting the Cacica salt mine and the surroundings
    • Accommodation in Cacica

     

    Day 5-

    • Breakfast and departure to Vatra Dornei
    • We’ll visit The Natural Reserve Pietrele Doamnei ( Lady’s Rocks)-  declared a protected area in 2000

     

    • Lunch in a restaurant in Vatra Dornei – a mountain resort known as the Pearl of Bucovina tourist resort
    • Chairlift ride to go to the top of a mountain in Vatra Dornei area
    •  
    • A walking tour of the resort (Casino, Central Park etc.)
    • Dinner and accommodation in a hotel

     

     

    Day 6 Bicaz Gorges - Red lake

    • Breakfast
    • Departure to the Izvorul Muntelui lake ( a large artificial lake) and The Bicaz Gorges, that are famous for their 1000 ft. limestone rocks towering over narrow roads and passes.

    • Then we’ll have a boat trip on the Red Lake a lake formed by the natural damming of the waters of the Bicaz stream

    • Lunch in a fish restaurant
    • Departure to Iasi
    • Accommodation and dinner at the hotel,

     

    Day 7

    • Breakfast at the hotel
    • Guided visit in the Botanic Garden the first Romanian university botanical garden and at the same time the largest in the country
    • A walking tour in the city center, where we can visit the National Theatre in Iași(the oldest national theatre), the Orthodox Cathedral, the Catholic Cathedral, the Town Hall building, the Palace of Culture etc.

     

     

    • We can buy souvenirs
    • Lunch in a restaurant downtown
    • Departure to the airport.
