  • THE PROTECTION OF BIODIVERSITY: FLORA AND FAUNA

THE PROJECT "A TREE FOR A FRIEND"

In the ambit of the activities on the topic of biodiversity the I.C.S. Federico II di Svevia participates in the project “A tree for a friend” to create a widespread forest with the Ministry of Ecological Transition and the Carabinieri of Biodiversity.

THERE IS A GLOBAL CHALLENGE UNDERWAY... a green revolution that involves all citizens: change our way of life and take care of the environment in which we live.

The Forest Carabinieri do their part by protecting the inestimable heritage of State Nature Reserves and State Forests. A green ridge that ideally crosses the entire Italian territory and that represents an example of unitary management of a European capital of biodiversity unique for its variety of habitats.

We can begin a new challenge together with the Carabinieri of Biodiversity to know our green treasures and leave our mark in the world by increasing the Italian level of biodiversity and "green".

How do we do that? We plant one tree and then another and create a forest spread throughout Italy, made of small trees of native species that will grow with us accompanying us in a path that increases environmental quality.

Our commitment will be rewarded by a saving of CARBON DIOXIDE in the air: 50 thousand trees will hold already in the first 10 years of life some million Kg of CO2. Trees, in fact, are able to effectively combat air pollution at a much lower cost than other natural remedies. The web platform will show us the distribution of our trees and the consequent reduction of carbon dioxide.

Together with The Carbinieri of Biodiversity, today we have planted our first trees and we have started a VIRTUOUS circle for the future of the planet and for our health.
