This TwinSpace is created for our Erasmus+ school partnership project "Footprints - where have we come from? Where will we go?" Recent developments within the European Union or in Europe bear witness to major political uncertainties with regard to the Brexit, labour migration and immigration, nationalism and xenophobia. Personal encounters, knowledge and cooperation are necessary for a deeper understanding of Europe, democracy education and commitment to the common values. Our students will therefore be searching for “footprints” of their cultural heritage in their own and their partner schools' countries. They will "step back" to the generations of their great-/ grandparents and parents, explore their current situation, and "move forward" into the future, by formulating their expectations, dreams and fears. Let's contribute to a better understanding of our common European cultural identity in order to work for a unified, tolerant and colourful Europe worth living in.
