After the SEMANA DA SUSTENTABILIDADE (Sustainability Week) that took place in Mafra during 24 - 27 May, last Wednesday, 16th of June, at 16:00 CET in the School's Grand Auditorium, the MyTown2020 students presented the Project to the Community. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions we could not invite all those that we wanted. The Mayor of the Municipality of Mafra and the Councilman for Education, the President of Mafra Parish Council, the 2nd Military Commander of Escola das Armas of Mafra, the previous and the current School Management, the President of the School's General Council, members of both teachers and non teaching staff and the MyTown2020 Team (students and teachers) were present. The event was registered by the reporter of the local newspaper "O Carrilhão" (in page 6).

Through questions and answers between students and the representatives of the Municipality, an interesting conversation was established around the issue of sustainability in Mafra County. The mayor and the councilman praised the project work done and welcomed the proposals, some of which have already been thought through by the Town Hall. The Mayor considered interesting and relevant the proposal to launch a contest among Mafra Students, during the following school year, in order to create a Quality Label to reward the restaurants and coffee shops that promote environmental sustainability.
