The Water that binds us

twinspace-logo

The main goal of the participating schools is to extend learning beyond the classroom walls, to broaden the students’ horizons, to awake their awareness for water and ways to protect it. We want our students to acquire meaningful knowledge, to improve their digital and language abilities, to understand the advantages of working in a team. They should appreciate the treasures offered by each country’s natural environment, directly studying geographical and historical characteristics and then the artistic side of the topic. They will explore the ecosystems of each river or sea, making all sorts of experiments, organizing debates on the importance of water in their life, recording their work and creating brochures and magazines. Other products will be a prototype/model of rivers/ seas in Europe, a windmill, an aquarium, products that will show their motivation, the way they communicated throughout the project, their shared responsibilities, their critical thinking and solving problem skills and also their creativity. All the proposed activities are meant to encourage the students to approach the topic using the previously acquired knowledge in Geography, Biology, Literature, Art, Computer Science and English Language.
