LEARNING/ TEACHING/ TRAINING ACTIVITY IN ITALY

    A Learning / Teaching / Training Activity took place in Potenza, Italy from 20.05.2019 to 24.05.2019. The transnational meeting was attended by 32 students and 18 teachers from the partner’s schools in Greece, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Scotland and Turkey. The host school was “ Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Einstein De Lorenzo  – Potenza”. In this meeting students presented the chosen product, its name and its characteristics, recipe and manufacturing process. The international group tasted the product of the Spanish students and filled in a survey - taste, texture, aroma, sweetness and acidity, were valued. The students visited the “ScamBioLoGiCo”, which is the first Italian "green station", a shop for selling bio, zero-distance, fair and not packed products from Basilicata, Italy. The activities of the Italian environmentalist association “Legambiente” were presented. Important values for the association are the improvement of environmental quality, the fight against all forms of pollution, a wise use of natural resources, the construction of a more balanced relationship between human beings and the nature. The host school has organized workshops for the students – Arduino, Paper-mache, How to plan an APP, Communication in the digital age. The students visited the University of Basilicata – Unibas, where they had a lecture on Sviluppo Basilicata, the European Centre for Enterprise and Innovation, recognised by the Commission of the European Union. The Business Incubator is a summary of business needs in the area: it supports the creation and the testing of “new ideas'', it creates the conditions for reciprocal exchange among research, training and enterprise, and it promotes the development of innovative, competitive, and high-tech companies. The cultural programme included a visit of Matera – 2019 European Capital of Culture and Lagopesole Castle.
