Don Quixote and Sancho Panza are arrived in Greece!!!  We received the box and we are very excited!
We have already read the doll's story, yesterday, and made a paper castle and windmills. We are ready to make representation of the story in our class.

    May 14th-19th 2015
We guide them in our village and show them the beauty of nature: sea, mountains, rivers...

    12th June 2015
Don Quixote and Sancho Panza just arrived in Silata, Greece and we could only enjoy them for a couple of hours....
However, while we were waiting we talked a lot about the book and its author, we saw a cartoon based on the book, we painted a landscape with windmills on one of the teacher's bed sheets and we made our own booklets with the windmill scene as you can see in the photos. The video is the best we could do without any rehearsal!!! We hope you enjoy them!

    22nd June 2015
Don Quixote and Sancho Panza just came to Poznan in Poland, to spend enjoyable holidays here.

    9th September 2015
For a few days of June we took care of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. First day they show us a film from Greece with their adventures. Later Don Quixote and Sancho Panza know our school, our room, cafeteria. We made a lot of windmills for them, so that they can feel at home. Once we even took them to the cinema to see a film about Minions. We traveled together by tram. We had a lot of fun on the playground. We have read our heroes Legend of the Dragon. In Poland it's a very important legend. Don Quixote and Sancho Panza watched our struggles with creating the form of a legend. It was a fun adventure.

Good news!!! We arrived today at Nikea Greece :) :) :)

We are ok but a little tired from the journey! So, today after the warm welcome we rested..New adventures tomorrow!

    20 October 2015

Today was an interesting day, at Nikea Greece. With my friend Sancho and the students of 6th grade we visited  Katrakeio Theater at Nikea. It was named like this in honor of  a great Greek actor named Manos Katrakis.

A pleasant surprise was waiting for me and Sancho when we arrived! At the entrance of the theater a beautiful iron statue who looked like me was there!

So, when I asked the kids, they told me that the statue shows Manos Katrakis in a theatrical play called “Don Quijote” that was performed in the National Theater Of Greece in 1972 with great success. Manos Katrakis was playing the role of Don Quijote.

You can visit  the archives of the National Theater of Greece where you can see the program of the play, photos and what the newspapers wrote at that time about the play.

The statue was made by a Greek sculptor called Memos Makris.

We took a lot of pictures there ….

Afterwards we played  a lot of games…

    Football….Sancho was a great goalkeeper,I must say!

Basketball….I won because I was taller!

And a funny game of strength…. Girls won most of the times!!!

Such a wonderful day!!But hot! Very hot still in Greece!
