Uncovering the secrets of our cultural heritage

Starting from Marcus Carvey's quote: "A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots," students will dig in their past and draw their family trees and recognize the importance of knowing one's descendants only to lead them to focus on some of the most important archeological sites in their local area. They will try to see how that past shaped part of our identities and how it can be felt in some of the cultural signs and traditions that we have today, but are not aware of their origins.
