Our towns, our countries

  • Students present their towns and countries to know each other better.

Dzierżoniów is an ancient town - its beginning comes from 11th century and there are many valuable buildings in our town. We visited the most interesting places and took photos of them for you.

Defensive town walls fro XIII-XIV centuries:

We also have monumental Town Hall:

In XI century first church in Dzierżoniów (then Rychbach) was buit, later many times rebuilt, but never distroyed - St George's Church.

CHURCH OF MARY MOTHER OF THE CHURCH - Church built in the years 1795-1798 in place of the demolished ducal castle. It was originally a Protestant church build according to Karl Gotthard Langhans design (designer of Brandenburg Gate), in the classical style.

Here are the comments written by the Year 5 children about Eastburn:

I really enjoy entering Eastburn as it has everything you need: fish and chips, groceries, school, church, Brownies, roads and homes.

The village of Eastburn is a quaint place.  It's got a nice row of houses.  It also has a nice fish and chip shop and a post office.

The village of Eastburn is a friendly place.  It is very small but calm and a peaceful place to be.  Not a lot of people live in Eastburn.

Eastburn is a very pleasant village.  It has a big park with a football field, a hospital, a fish and chip shop, a pre-school and a school.  In the school, we have a playground and a field.

There is also a pub called the Inn at Eastburn and near the school there is a gym.  You can do boxing, running, yoga and exercise classes.

It is fun to run around because of its big hills.  I also like Eastburn Fisheries and the woods of Eastburn and Eastburn Moor.

It is also on a main road.
