PEOPLE SMART

  • PEOPLE SMART (Working in pairs/groups, Tutoring younger pupils, Team-building activities) People smarts (or interpersonal intelligence) is the ability to perceive and respond to the moods, intentions, and feelings of other people.

Hello Ireland, Hello Italy, Hello Turkey ... In our classroom we continue to solve problems with lots of imagination and science to blend. In groups we build small boats after investigating which materials float and do not float. Then we thought of a way to give them energy to move in the water!

    FLOWERING EMOTIONS -ITALY

Practicing the computation and resolution of problems with the use of technology has motivated and helped students to better understand mathematical concepts. Students who enjoy working with technology feel more motivated and perform tasks with more concentration.

Solving problem situations in the math discipline with the help of technology motivates students to learn. The game allows the student to mobilize their learning while activating all their senses for learning. - José Soares - Portugal

Learning the programming language helps students build their knowledge and enables them to better understand different concepts of mathematics. Multi-Intelligent Theory helps to consolidate learning and respond to students' needs. - José Soares - Portugal

Following coordinates in the geoplane was one of the mathematical activities that enthused the students in this project. Each sought to create the most difficult challenge for his colleague! José Soares

Teach our students some basic and more complex directional skills so they can navigate nature and the greater biosphere. This lesson starts with teaching basic directions and mapping techniques, then moves on to taking latitude and longitude coordinates and using global-positioning-system (GPS) units. We enjoyed the the group work and mastering the basics so that we can all move on to study the more challenging GPS one. We are very lucky to have several of the latest Parrot Drones, which relies on GPS while being in the air. Please follow us as we move on and explore this very interesting topic of hi-tech drones and join in anytime. - Balazs Kecskemeti

Joining the Haloween with an interesting mathematical challenge to which a robot joins was a great learning moment that this project provided to the students of our school. They had to take a lot of turns to figure out the solution. Only in a group and sharing ideas could you find the solution. José Soares

In Portugal we have put to our students several challenges that they have to solve in group or in pairs work. The help has taken place and the results of the learning are very visible in the students' performance. It is always necessary to create a good challenge !! - José Soares

Matching a technology challenge motivates students to learn. Collaborative work is very important in finding the solution. Two heads think better than one! - José Soares

Allowing each working group to present their ideals to classmates has helped students better orally. This work also helps to structure students' thinking. - José Soares

The use of technology has helped pairs of students in finding the best answers to the challenges. The teams are committed and the presentation of the different conclusions allows the students to consolidate the learning. - José Soares
