    eTwinning Internet Etiquette eTwinning Behavior Rules

    Since eTwinning’s inception in 2005, it has promoted the use of the internet in a responsible manner and developed a secure environment for teachers and students to collaborate online. During the members’ journey on the portal, e-safety provides information, examples of best-practices, guidance on topics, opportunities and positive and effective use of the internet in a safe way. It covers a number of important principles that must be remembered while using online tools and resources, including those of eTwinning;

    -You must not infringe the copyrights of the images and files you share on the Profiles or Sources sections !

    -Make sure that the messages you send in the forums are appropriate to the forum topic !

    -Do not send too many messages, including the teachers you work with. They can be regarded as spam massages.

    -Contact a person before adding them to your contact list

    -Don’t send the same e-mail to more than one person and also don’t send it repeatedly.

    -In case of problems, first contact provincial coordinators for solutions. National Support Service (NSS) should be contacted for non-resolvable situations.

    Sharing Video and Photo

    -Avoid sharing photographs and videos on which faces of students are seen as much as possible.

    – At the beginning of the project, it is necessary to get a parental consent signed by the parents of the students you plan to work with, which gives  you permission to share photos and videos of them on the internet.

    -Pay attention to privacy settings ( not public ) while sharing students’ photos and videos on Youtube and Vimeo.
