    Harriet Tubman

    Gaelle chose to pay tribute to Harriet Tubman ! She had to read a lot to learn more about her actions , then Gaelle had to select information in order to write a short biography about her.

    Jams Reese Europe

    Elysabeth really enjoyed visiting the exhibition " James Reese Europe and the Harlem Hellfighters" last October when we began to work on this project . She decided to pay a tribute to James Reese Europe because she thinks that he deserves being remembered for everything he brought us.

    Michelle Obama and alicia garza

    Lovencia decided to work on Michelle Obama because she has a lot of admiration for the first Afro - American first lady. It was the occasion for Lovencia to learn more about the different project in which Michelle Obama got involved.
    Marine who is more interested in the recent racial issues decided to work on Alicia Garza.

    Shirley Chrishom, Martin Luther King and Oprah Winfrey

    Cindy , attached to the feminist cause discovered with great interest the actions of Shirley Chrishom , first afro-american woman to become an active member of the American Congres. Noemie always had a passion for Martin Luther King and as regards Nassima, Oprah Winfrey is a model for her in terms of achievements. They read a lot about these people and studied videos related to them in order to be able to make posters dedicated to these exceptional Afro-American people...They used the software Piktochart.

    Abraham Lincoln

    Deborah who is a native English speaker chose to work on Abraham Lincoln even though he was not an Afro-American person because she considers that he was the one who paved them the way to emancipation.

    The exhibition " Let's celebrate Black History Month"

    This exhibition was displayed for Joliot Curie's School Open Day.
    A few students of the class were present to explain what the project consisted in.

    The Exhibition

    At the end of the exhibition visitors could play interactive games such as " Who is Who " or " Who wants to be a Millionnaire " to check their knowledge in matters of Afro-American History . These games were conceived by our students.
