IIS Raffaello is a  Secondary High School located in Urbino (PU), central Italy with about 770 pupils

    aged between 14 and 19.

There are about 90 staff members.
The school offers a variety of courses.

There are a few  groups of pupils attending the IIS Raffaello School for the Humanities called "Liceo Classico" where Latin, History and Philosophy, Ancient Greek, Italian Language and Literature are the core subjects.

There is a quite  large group of pupils attending the IIS Raffaello Foreign Language School called "Liceo Linguistico" where English, German and French are the core subjects.

The largest group of   IIS Raffaello pupils   attend technical courses either for Tourism or for Business and Marketing where many different  technical  subjects are being taught along with general core subjects such as Italian, English, Maths,Geography, History and two additional foreign languages.

The school traditions date back to the old "Liceo Classico" and even if all the other courses were added fairly recently, they are nowadays the most  popular ones.

In particular both  the foreign language high school and the technical school for tourism are very often  involved in mobilities abroad either partially funded by the EU and/or by our pupils' families.

Traveling abroad is particularly important for our pupils because most of them come form somewhat isolated small towns surrounding Urbino and do not usually travel much together with their relatives.

Our mission is always strongly connected with all the European activities developed together with our foreign  school partners.
