Dear All,

We are a team of 18 from TED Ankara College Foundation Private High School. We are a small class as you can see below, and we meet 8 periods a week for English, which gives us time to discuss a wide range of issues (including eTwinning projects:)) in addition to learning the subject curriculum.

 

As for some background information about our school:

Turkish Education Association (Türk Eğitim Derneği - 'TED') was founded in 1928 with the request of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey. Consequently, TED Ankara College was founded in 1931, as the first private Turkish school (after the foundation of our Republic) to instruct in English language. The primary, middle and high schools were established in 1931, 1933 and 1936, respectively, now all located on a large campus in İncek, Ankara. 

We are looking forward to sharing the stereotypes we've thought of and finding out what you have got for us, the Turkish!

Hello everybody! Institut Eugeni Xammar is a secondary school located in l'Ametlla del Vallès, a nice village 30 km northeast of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. A group of twelve 14/15 year old pupils are taking part in this project. Our main language in class and at home is Catalan, but we try to communicate as much as possible in English and other foreign languages too. We look forward to making lots of friends, learning about other cultures and discussing all the stereotypes about the Spanish or the Catalans that you might have.

Hola a tothom! L'Institut Eugeni Xammar és el centre d'ensenyament secundari de l'Ametlla del Vallès, un bonic poble 30 km al nordest de Barcelona, a Catalunya, Espanya. Un grup de dotze alumnes de 14/15 anys estem en aquest projecte. El nostre principal idioma a classe i a casa és el català, però procurem comunicar-nos també en anglès i altres idiomes estrangers. Esperem fer molts amics, aprendre d'altres cultures i comentar tots els estereotips sobre els espanyols o els catalans que pugueu tenir.

Un grupo de doce alumnos de 14/15 años participamos en este proyecto. Nuestro principal idioma en clase y en casa es el catalán, pero procuramos comunicarnos también en inglés y otros idiomas extranjeros. Esperamos hacer muchos amigos, aprender de otras culturas y comentar todos los estereotipos que podáis tener sobre los españoles o los catalanes.

We are a scondary school in England with 1350 students up to A level. My class are 32 year 9 students ( 13/14 years old). Our school is in Northamptonshire about 1 hour North of London.
