  • Short description:

    The project is aimed at cultural orientation and language development. Students are expected to exchange letters and presentations on various topics that are close to their everyday living.

     

    Aims:

    • To make students aware of cultural similarities and differences.
    • To make students sensitive to people of different origins.
    • To make students eager to broaden their horizons.
    • To motivate students to learn English for communication purposes
    • To make learning English more fun and effective
    • To develop linguistic and ICT skills.
    • To develop students’ communication and social skills
    • To promote co-operation between schools

    FEBRUARY
    •Introducing project to the students, inviting students to Twinspace.
    •Writing the first letters - All about me.

    MARCH
    •Preparing presentations on topic "My School"
    •Exchanging Easter cards

    APRIL
    •Skype meeting
    •Writing and sending the second letter
    •Preparing presentations on topic "My town"

    MAY
    •Writing and sending the third letter
    •Skype meeting

    JUNE
    •Collect and publish all the letters in an e-book (eg. on issuu)
    •Evaluation

     

    WEB TOOLS:

    Padlet, Skype, Google drive, zeemaps, issuu or joomag, smilebox, wordart, (video and audio tools), ...

     

    EXPECTED RESULTS:

    The students will learn more about other cultures. They will learn to respect people of different origins and they will become tolerant of global diversity. They will be motivated to learn English for communication purposes. They will improve their language fluency, their ICT and social skills. They will learn to collaborate with others.

    at the end of the project in June
