  •                Ways To Conserve Water!

There are a number of ways to save water, and they all start with YOU!

    1. Wash your fruits and vegetables in a pan of water instead of running water from the tap
    2. Teach your family to turn off faucets tightly after each use
and share water conservation tips with friends and neighbors.
    3. Avoid recreational water toys that require a constant flow of water.
    4. Turn off the water while brushing your teeth and save 25 gallons a month
    5. Don't use your toilet as a trash can .Drop your tissue in the trash instead of flushing it
and save water every time. Each time you flush the toilet you use up to 9 liters of clean water.
    6. Water the garden between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.
    7. If you accidentally drop ice cubes when filling your glass from the freezer,
don't throw them in the sink. Drop them in a house plant instead.
    8. Check for leaks around your pumps. We're more likely to notice leaks indoors,
but don't forget to check outdoor faucets, sprinklers and hoses for leaks.
    9. Water only when necessary. More plants die from over-watering than from under-watering.
Wash your pets outdoors in an area of your lawn or your garden that needs water.
When you give your pet fresh water, don't throw the old water down the pipe.
Use it to water your trees or bushes.
    10. Cover your swimming pool. This helps to prevent evaporation.
    11. To save water and time, consider washing your face or brushing your teeth while in the shower.
    12. Take shorter showers rather than baths. By taking a bath you are using up to 100 liters of water!
Shorten your shower by a minute or two and you'll save up to 150 gallons per month.
