  • THE HALF ANGEL

Once upon a time there was a stork. Of course lots of storks brought babies to their parents. Did you think it was a lie? No, it is not a lie! It was not in our world, it was in our dreams. Fortunately, the stork had his own child. The child was beautiful. But stork had to leave her because she wasn't a bird or a human. She looked like an angel without a halo. He gave his child to a random family. Years later, the child was all grown up. Her step family gave her the name “Angela”. She was kind and had a good sense of humour but was a little bit shy. She was only seven years old when she started school. Angela was scared. Her family accepted her, but what about others? Other humans? What were they going to say about Angela's tiny, fluffy wings? Her little, orange lips? When she went to school, she hid her wings under her cardigan. She saw three children who were playing with their toys in joy. She was excited, she smiled and approached them. "Can I join?" she asked. Others looked suspiciously at her back. "Why do you have a huge hump in your back?" one of the children asked, who had a black curly hair. "Your lips are so shiny!" The tallest child said, he looked mesmerized. "We are playing Cops and Robbers. I am sure you will like it!" Said the ginger haired child. He invited her. They started to play. Angela learned that the tallest child's name was Henry, the child who had curly hair was Miles, and the ginger kid was Mary. "The weather is very hot." Miles said. "Why don't you take off your cardigan?" "No thanks..." But even she refused, Mary pulled her cardigan. "I am serious, it is not hot-" She screamed in pain, and when she saw the white feathers in Mary's fingers, she screamed again. "What is this!?" Mary looked scared. "Guys! Guys! The girl with black hair has wings! I can't believe it!" "Really?" "A girl with wings?" "Is she an angel?" "A demon?" "A fairy?" Other kids came closer, Angela felt uncomfortable. She ran away. She cried, cried and cried. She was a crybaby, huh.. Angela went to her favorite tree, a cherry tree. "Oh god," she said. "What have I done?" "That was not your fault." A male stork said. "That was my fault honey." "So, you are 'The' Stork." She said. "My mom told me that you abandoned me." "That was a mistake and I am here to fix it." He reached out his wing like a hand. "Come with me, Heaven is going to be your new home, babies are our only problem!" "No." She said. "Even if I am different from others, it doesn't matter anymore." She started walking away and left him behind her. Angela returned to school, the teacher looked surprised. She opened her wings as wide as she could. "I am sorry." Miles said. "I didn't mean to do that." "But you are cute as who you really are." Henry said. "It is not a problem anymore." She said. And they started the lecture, which was math.

    MUSIC IN A SOUL

Once upon a time there was a little bee town where all kind of bees lived in. Bees were producing more honey than they could consume. Everything was beatiful and peaceful . But no one had been outside of the town before. That was the first rule they had in town. In Pine Street there were known, funny twin brothers named Tim and Jim. Tim was a hardworking boy and Jim was the opposite of him, always lazy about working. Tim was producing the most honey in town. Jim had a very good voice and he was singing all the time. So his parents were always complaining about him singing instead of working. Jim loved singing too much but the town was not enough for him. He wanted to bring out new musical pieces but town people didn’t really like listening to his music. So Jim told his family about his dream. But including Tim, the whole family refused his decision. One warm spring night while Jim was lying on grass, he thought about running away from the town. He returned home and packed his bags. And left a note to his brother: “Dear Tim, I am going to make my dreams come true. Hope you’ll be fine when I am not here. With love, Jim.” And Jim had left the town when he was unaware of what is going to happen. He didn’t know where he was going. He had not heard anything about outside before. He was just flying. Days passed. Jim had no hopes left and started to believe that there was no place on earth besides his town. When he decided to go back, he landed on a daisy to rest a bit. Suddenly, he saw a bee coming at him. He was surprised and happy. When the bee came closer he saw how beautiful she was and that caught him off guard. She said “Hi, I’ve been watching you for a while, you seemed lonely so I decidee to check in. It’s Lea, by the way. What is your name?” Jim smiled and answered “ I’m Jim.” Lea seemed excited to talk: “What are you doing around Jim, you seem lost.” Jim realised how easy it was to understand what’s going on with him. “I was going out of my town for some reasons. Anyway, I didn’t know that there were several towns. I am so glad that I met somebody from an another place.” Then their little journey began. They got to know each other better in the way of Waterfall Town. Jim learnt everything about her life. It was similar with his but in Waterfall Town there were every kind of living creature. They arrived Waterfall Town after a week. Jim didn’t see that coming for sure. When they arrived, he completely fell in love with the city. He was staying with Lea’s family. They were such lovely parents and they loved music. He was singing all day and no one was telling him to stop. Weeks passed and Jim kept loving that place with a little sadness inside of him. He missed his home. The music group he was singing with offered him to go on a music tour. Jim had thought about it and he decided to go. They travelled all over the world and he became famous. He was travelling all the cities with Lea. They were having fun, working and loving. One day Jim woke up in a place which was so familiar to him. The place, the town he left behind. When he realised it was his town, he got worried about coming across with his family again and he knew that town people didin’t like music at all. He tought like”I had made a new start with my music career, now everything is going to fall apart.” He really didn’t want to sing there but Lea convinced him to do it. So he sang in front of his people. And in an unbelivable way, they liked the group. There were no member of his family at the concert. When Lea learnt his family was living there. She persuaded him to visit them. So they did. His father Daniel opened the door. Each member of the family was shocked. But then these strong emotions left their places to a little hug only. Including Tim the whole family had understood to respect his dreams and Jim had understood that he shouldn’t have left his family. Everything was beautiful and peaceful as it was before. Jim, Tim, Lea and their family was living happily and musically.

    THE BLUE LADYBUG

Richie woke up to the shining sun on a warm Saturday. It had stopped raining for the first time this whole week. He got out of his bed and went to the kitchen to have a quick breakfast. His mom was already preparing some scrambled eggs and French toast. “Morning mom! Can I just grab an apple and head out?” Little Richie wanted to go to the park near the pond and pick up some fresh leaves and flowers. He was obsessed with ladybugs and had a fish tank filled with them. On a weekday, he would pick some grass from the sidewalk on his way to home so he always got excited on weekends to go to the park and pick some good things to feed his pets with. But his mother always made him eat a proper breakfast first. “You know you have to eat first honey.” So he just went to the table and finished his breakfast after his father and sister joined them. He quickly grabbed his backpack and left the house After a short walk, he finally came to the bridge that went over the pond which is right next to the park. Richie cared about his ladybugs. He always made sure he found the best food for them so he started walking around, looking closely at every piece of green he thought looked good. As he was about to pick up a Stinging Nettle, he saw something blue moving on it. When he got closer, he couldn’t believe his eyes. He was looking at a blue ladybug! He held it carefully and put it between to leaves. He started running home, excited to show his mom his discovery. When he got to their front door, he kicked the door open. His parents looked at him with questioning eyes, waiting him to explain. He went up to them. “What I’m about to show you may change your perception of the world. First, let’s just clarify that this is my discovery, not yours.” His mom and dad looked at each other, confused. They simply nodded. Richie took the leaf on the top and showed them what was inside. They definitely did not expect that and they stared at it in shock. His mom was the first to break the silence; “That’s amazing sweetie! Are you sure you want to put it in the tank with the others? It could be more sensitive than the rest of them, putting him in a small space would be bad for it.” “I’m sure it’ll be fine mommy” He then went off to his room. He took the lid off the tank and placed the pretty ladybug on a branch. He started watching it with amazement but soon realized that he didn’t even move or eat the freshly picked greens. All of a sudden the rest of them seemed to look sad to him too. He felt his heart break, thinking what he did with love was actually hurting them. He felt a tear run down his face and ran up to his mother. His mom saw him and hugged him with worry on her face. All Richie said was; “Could you help me carry the fish tank outside?” He felt his mother nod so they walked to his room. They carefully lifted the tank and took it outside. His mother didn’t say anything, just looked at her son’s teared up eyes. He was looking at his beautiful pets, friends. He took a step towards them and said “I’m really sorry, I’ll miss you guys and I love every single one of you.” He lifted the heavy cap and in a second, he was witnessing the most beautiful view ever. He smiled at them and felt his mother softly hug him.

    LIVE THE MOMENT

It was a beautiful sunny day in the garden. Flowers were more beautiful than day and brighter than sunshine. They were greeting with wind then leaning slightly. Jasmines, orchids, daisies, roses, violets and much more. All of them were happy except one. Pink Rose wasn’t that much happy. It was thinking about something. Others didn’t understand what was going on with it. Who could be so sad and full of thoughts? Daisy wanted to solve its problem. That’s why it asked Pink Rose. “You can tell me what is this bad thought makes you unhappy Pink Rose?” said Daisy. “What will happen if it rains and ruins that good day?”said Pink Rose. “Then we will find a good side of it. If you always consider about things might happen, if you are afraid of being sad, disappointed, you can’t live your life as you should. Everyhing is possible to happen, this is how life is. And never forget that: It has to rain before rainbow appears.” said Daisy. Finally Pink Rose found the way to be happy: live the moment.

    THE RAINBOW

It has always been hard for her to face the mirror like a normal person, waiting for her true self to come up, her “stigma” that couldn’t be removed. Yes, it was hard for her to be happy all the time and no, she didn’t think that being affected by other emotions, waiting for other colours to shine inside were never bad things. She has always wished that it was possible to shine through her brightest colours; her wrath, sadness, longing examplarily, so they could turn into serenity, joy and unions. But no, she should have kept her insincere smile all the time so she wouldn’ “disturb” other people’s actions. She sometimes asked herself: How many days have passed like this? This city, the crowd is still fading, moving on; wondering where they’ve gone: Her true spirit and the pale blue, glassy sky… Story carried on; lonely, lost inside. When she got the chance to meet her old friends, they all expended the same things as if they were programmed, motionless maybe. Maybe it is just me. Yes, maybe it was just her who wanted to leave something as pure and irreplaceable as happiness behind. Whenever someone complimented her new aura, the positive vibes she was giving off, she thought the same thing. I think I’ve lost some more colours, that’s an another thing to get used to.You know what they say; it’s a long way up to heavnes, a long way down another flight. Not many people said that actually, but she’s always liked the way it tingled her ears. Maybe I really am a creep. But I can’t help it that I liked how my rainbow used to shine perfectly. The red, orange, yellow, gren, blue, indigo and purple… All of them contributed different shades to my life, all the tears I shed and the cries of pain that has seared up my throat… She regretted none of them. Having red in her blood, passion, vitality; everything she has went through made her stronger because of this strong sense. Orange gave her the creativity she was seeking, the need to look and create something new in this one, small life of hers. The colour yellow represented all the times she smiled beautifully and sincerely; the energy and the memories of true happiness. It was good to be young and living live to the fullest, but there had to be green to teach you the balance, growth and maturity. Blue was her favourite; it seemed limitless and she knew that if the shade of her sorrow was going to remain, she’d want it to be blue. Blue was believed to be soothing, but indigo was much deeper and sedating; it wasn’t like a soft breeze anymore. And the last colour of her scale, her own rainbow was purple; it was luxurious and inspiring, maybe the dreamiest of them all. Without all her memeories, colours and new paths she could discover; she felt like she was stranded on an island, where she roamed without directions. She left the front of the mirror with the feeling of something she’s been craving for, something she needed to keep on once again. Hope, it was. Such a beautiful hue. To find your own rainbow, shades and the hope that’s going to make you feel, you got to listen to the waves under your skin. All the secretive sounds your bones make, sounds of things settling in. You should be ready to have and old heaven, and a comfort no longer. You might lose the sight of the only smile that was given to you, but there is only one thing you can do. It is to make a promise to chase your own rainbow, a promise to feel happy once again.

    ONE FOR NATURE

It was the first days of spring. It has just stopped raining and a beautiful rainbow appeared. It was warm, the sun was shining happily in the magnificent blue sky. Everywhere was filled with beautiful flowers, any kind of flowers and the grass was shining under the sun. The butterflies and bees were flying around happily, visiting every flower they could. Ladybug Zoe was smiling happily and muttered to herself, It's time to live a dream!" And suddenly, a flower drew her attention, it looked like as if the flower was trying to hide. She flew there and gently sit on its leaf and thought how beautiful and charming it looked. She was suprised by the waterdrops dropped on top of her. The rain has stopped eariler and all of the raindrops has dried. So where was this water coming from? She raised her head and saw the flower was crying. Zoe was suprised and she flew closer to the flower and tried to wipe away the flower's tears with her wings. "Hey you beautiful flower, why are you so sad?" Zoe asked. The flower bursted into tears when it heard Zoe. Zoe tried to calm it down but she failed. And then she saw Martha the Butterfly, it looked like as he tried to show her beautiful wing to everyone. "Hey Martha, come here." said Zoe. As Martha turned her head to the direction of the voice she was suprised to see such a beautiful flower. Later, she turned to Zoe and greeted her happily. And Martha realised how the flower cried. "What happened why are you crying? Can't you see that a beautiful day is starting?" Martha saw Freddy the Bee around the corner of her eye and Martha called out to him, "Freddy come here quick! I bet you have never seen such beauty before!" The flower started to cry even harder after hearing those words. Three friends couldn't calm the flower down for a long time but in the end the flower finally talked: "I was trying to hide from the humans because when they see I'm blooming happily they pick me up. If you could see me, that means humans can see me aswell. I don't want to die, I wanna live!" Friends looked at each other anxiously. Zoe, "I understand you. People are being selfish when they pick up flowers, every flower is beautiful in their on home, which is nature. Also we need each other in order to survive. Don't be afraid, we will do our best to protect you." said. "What we would have done without you?" said Freddy slightly angrily. Martha, Zoe and Freddy wandered all over the place and told to the grass to grow as high as they could so no one could see the flower. The grass did what it has told. The flower disappeared behind the long and thick grass. And they heard its happy and glad voice, "Thank you, thank you a lot." Three friends looked at each other and smiled happily. There was a whole happy life in front of them, and they were ready to enjoy every minute of it.
