The project

  • The project

Breakfast being an important meal, thanks to this project, students will learn about breakfast habits in Europe and compare them. They will study their diet , see if it is well-balanced and allows them to achieve their daily activities.

    OBJECTIVES

We aim at having our students:
-learn and compare breakfast habits, then create a recipe book.
-study the diet balance and the ratio between ingested calories/ burnt calories.
-improve health diet and habits. See what can be taken from the partners' food habits to improve ours.

    WORK PROCESS

All the partners will work on the different activities. Twinspace will allow us to communicate and set activities.
    - January: partners introduce their schools (video, presentations). Students introduce themselves in the forum (favorite food)
-February: students share their daiy timetable and food habits during breakfast. Partners try each other's recipes and post pictures or videos. They create an online recipe book. They write about their impressions in the forum.
-March: Students study the health balance of their partners' breakfast. First, they pay attention to the quality of what they eat(sorting the families of nutriments, see if they are well balanced according to the color classification and the food pyramid. Then they focus on the quantities and see if they bring enough calories for the day activities. The final results are published on twinspace (Drawmylife)
-April: what can I improve in my diet? Each school interviews their students and publish a common film.

    EXPECTED OUTCOME

We will use twinspace to publish our recipe book, our scientific research on breakfast habits in Europe and interviews of students. We hope to have our students realize that breakfast is an important meal in the day and that they can improve their diet by learning about their partners' food habits.
