Hungary is a small country with one thousand years of history in the heart of Central Europe. The country has varied geographical features and rich culture. Hungarian people respect their traditions, and they are extremely hospitable.

Nyíregyháza is in the centre of the country’s Northeast region. This city has been developing dynamically with plenty of sights, and prominent tourism. Our secondary school has been operating since 1975 in Nyíregyháza in its current building.

We are proud of having more than one thousand students, who can participate in different vocational courses, like catering-tourism, business administration, marketing and commerce. The Hungarian educational system has been changing all the time, the tasks are carried out by a teaching staff of seventy people.

Our vocational teachers have excellent reputation nationwide in their teaching system. Their expertise guarantee the adequate, high standard of education for our chef, waiter, and pastry-cook students. Our students are well-prepared and some of them can successfully take part in national vocational competitions with good results, during their preparations they gain useful work experiences as well.

Students learn and practice in well-equipped, up-to-date chef, pastry cook workshops. The cabinet of waiters also has excellent facilities, for example, students can learn to lay the tables using high standard of decorations, similar to those of high standard restaurants. There are purpose-built rooms for training marketing students. In these classrooms, students can acquire the fundamental of commerce in a realistic way. After 3 years of education they finish their studies and they take a vocational examination. After having a successful examination, they have the opportunity to take their final examination by spending two more years learning.

After four, or five years of vocational grammar education students take their final examination, and get their Matura certificate. In our school students also can enjoy the benefits of a bilingual education – tourism in German and in Hungarian languages. These classes are extremely popular with students coming from all over the region. From September of 2017 we launched a new bilingual marketing class in English and Hungarian languages. After obtaining the final examination, and vocational exams, students can get further skilled certifications in our public school.

The educational, pedagogical work is helped in many different ways. There are four special Information Technology classrooms. They meet the requirements of the modern times. The Physical Education lessons are held for students every day. Students play run, do athletics in the gymnasium, or in the schoolyard. In the school library students and teachers have access to a wide range of technical books, novels, compulsory literature and lexicons. They can read magazines, vocational materials, or prepare for their lessons. The student hostel accommodates seventy-three girls, who live far away.

The main goal of our school is, to equip students with useable knowledge, and prepare them for a successful working life.
