IN SPAIN

Carnival is a crazy festival in all Spain. We spend many time designing how to dress up during these days. In our school, we spend the afternoon dancing batukada (music with beating drums similar to the ones of Brazil). We also had a big parade through the town!!

 

 

 

There is a celebration called "La Mona" and it is the Thursday after Carnival.

During that day we use to have lunch in the countryside or in parks, hanging around with friends. There is something that you must eat: la mona ( a sweet bun with an egg ( now chocolate egg for kids)

I have the pleasure to show you my most favourite festival in my town Albacete (Spain): la FERIA. It is celebrated every 7th of September ( day of our virgin Virgen de los Llanos). From that day, we have ten days of commemorations, shows, bullfighting, live concerts, folklore, exhibitions and many cultural and local activities.Many people from over the world come to live it!!
