Learning/Teaching/Training Activities in Spain

  • Between 4th and 10th March 2018 the first training visit within the Erasmus+ project (My passion – my future) took place in Spain. We visited our partners from CEIP REINO DE MURCIA school in the picturesque city of Murcia. The students stayed at the host families, where they received a very warm welcome. The hosts did their best to entertain the pupils and provide a lot of attractions. The students took part in various classes and competitions which helped them improve their English, get to know the culture and customs of their peers from other countries. The teachers attended classes conducted with the use of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) too, they had the opportunity to exchange experiences and compare the systems of education. In our free time the hosts showed us the most beautiful and interesting places, monuments and museums in the city. We visited the Old Town, where we saw the well-known Santa Maria cathedral. We also managed to find time for other kinds of entertainment, such us bowling, trampolines and escape rooms. The meeting with the Mayor Jose Ballesta in the Town Hall was also an important part of the visit. The Mayor explained that Murcia is a very open and hospitable city, so nobody closes the gates and every visitor is welcome.

On the last day of the visit we went on a trip to Cartagena – a historical seaside town. We saw the ruins of the Roman Theatre, the Old Town and the harbour.

The hospitality of the hosts, beautiful, sunny weather and the activities we took part in every day made us really enjoy our stay in Murcia.
