Keep The Dark Clean

Light pollution is excessive, misdirected or obtrusive artificial light. Too much light pollution has consequences: it washes out starlight in the night sky, interferes with astronomical research, disrupts ecosystems, has adverse health effects and wastes energy. While smog plays a part in covering up the night sky, light pollution also prevents us from seeing stars in the sky. Light pollution refers to the release of artificial light into the night sky. The closer we are to certain kinds of light sources, the more we experience the effects of light pollution. The aim of this Project: Raising awareness about light pollution and taking a step to combat light pollution.
