Assessment

  • Assessment of the activities March-June 2017(Genova)

This is the rubric used by the teachers to assess the students while doing the activities of the project: it is PBL-based and keeps in account many different skills. Students were aware about the main guidelines of the assessment before the beginning of the project but the assessment rubric, decided in advance between teachers, was unveiled only at the self-assessment time.

Students self assessed without knowing their teachers' assessment and the teachers decided the assessment together, observing each student's behaviour during the meeting in Genova and online (frequency and number of connections, interactions, posts, etc.).

To maintain the privacy, the students' marks are not published but the hystograms with the assessment and self-assessment are published to show how they are could self-assess.

Assessment of the activities September 2017(La Sénia)

The week in La Sénia included 5 different kind of activities.

    1) Geocaching search. The workgroups dicovered the village by looking for hidden objects. They were marked by the number of objects found.

    2) Trail running race/walk. The workgroups were marked by the sum of the time spent on the race/walk of all the members of the group.

    3) Project activities. PBL activities were solved and marked by the number of activities completed .

    4) Cycling activities. Each work group shot a video at the Delta de l'Ebre and shared it with a cooperative tool (Thinglink).

    5) Presentations. They orally presented the Project Activities.

Below, you can see the rubric used by the teachers to assess the students while doing the activities of the project. The rubric was shown to the students at the presentation of the project, in order to motivate them for the tasks they had to face.

For the presentations, the assessment was shared by teachers and students (one workgroup also assessed the previous one).

The results can be seen on the subpage Assessment scores in La Sénia.
